Mr. Vann is having a great day! He is getting ready to go to California for the first time, we leave in a week and a half and he is so excited. He has been resting up now so he can party once he gets there!!! Vann always sleeps with his hands on his head, and I mean all the time, it cracks us up!

He has been doing great eating his baby food...he ate a whole jar in one sitting yesterday, WOW!

He was weighed on Monday and was at 12 lbs. 14.5 oz., so I am pretty sure he is at 13 lbs. now...we can't believe it! Vann is really the perfect baby, we are so blessed and always amazed by his journey.

Vann is officially sleeping in his own room now. We made the transition on Friday and he is doing very well. We are also really trying to work with him on building his muscles for sitting up. We went and got him a bumbo chair, so we try and use that once a day. Here is a little video of him sitting like a big boy!

It was a long day for Mr. Vann, but we had a great appointment yesterday with the Neurosurgeon. He was thrilled with how Vann's ultrasounds looked and said he thinks the ventricles even look smaller than last time. Holy cow, we are so happy. We will go back for a normal ultrasound in 4 weeks and then in 8 weeks he will do a CT scan, so he can have a really good look at where the stint placement is and we will go from there.

We also had a wonderful time visiting all of our close friends in the NICU. They couldn't believe what a chunky monkey Vann was. It made us feel really good. We are excited for August 5th, the annual NICU bbq!

Today Vann is 7 months old. We can't believe it. He is really starting to get a personality. He loves to fake cough...he thinks it is quite funny and he also loves to blow his baby food back at us!!! He is just amazing and we thank god everyday for him.

Vann had a very exciting week. His Grandma Denise and Grandpa Rod drove all the way from Portland to come see him. He had so much fun listening to his Grandma sing and his Grandpa taught him how to spell his name and showed him lots of pictures. He is excited to see them again in August when they come over to babysit Ally dog, so we can fly to Ventura to visit Jeff's family. Vann gets to see both his Grandparents in one month...how exciting!!!

Vann weighs 12 lb. 5 oz. He had quite an exciting physical therapy session this week. He managed to roll over from his tummy to his back 3 different times. We were so excited. Everyone cheered and he was quite spooked by all the noise. We go in next week for another head scan and appointment with the Neurosurgeon. We will think good thoughts!!!

Vann has been doing better with rice cereal, so we introduced him to his first veggie today....sweet potatoes. He LOVED them. He did really good and managed to get sweet potatoes all over. We thought you would enjoy some of these photos.
